This year's Business Excellence Awards continued the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce's annual tradition of supporting, and recognizing excellent Peninsula businesses on Thursday, July 31st. Presenting Sponsor, First National Bank, joined the MPCC Board and staff, along with over 350 attendees at the Monterey Marriott to acknowledge not only the winning 2008 businesses, but also all of this year's applicants. Local businesses owners, non-profit organizations, and city officials enjoyed a sit-down dinner while winners in the various business categories were honored.

A dozen Peninsula business and community leaders gathered to select the winners of the Chamber's 22nd annual Business Excellence Awards. Facilitator Mary Adams, President of United Way of Monterey County and an MPCC Board member, led the impressive selection team through a rigorous examination of all the applications of all the excellent Peninsula businesses and organizations.
